Things to do & see

From Warkworth, you can discover the wineries around Matakana, renowned for its weekend markets, artists’ studios, cafes, restaurants, and neighbouring beaches. You are spoiled for choice! Te Arai Links is nearby for a relaxed round of Golf or Warkworth Golf Course.

There are two regional parks in the area Tawharanui has a magnificent surf beach & walks; Mahurangi is more of a harbour experience. Goat Island is another coastal attraction – it offers excellent snorkeling straight off the beach with glass bottom boats.

Kawau Island, Mansion House is a fantastic day trip on the Ferry.

Martins Bay is perfect for young families. A personal favourite is Scotts Landing – a great spot for a picnic.
